The international food fair of Lima will develop around the topic “Biodiversity and Nutrition”, in order to honor the privileged food repertory of Peru and bring up diverse matters such as: the work of small farmers, the commitment of Peruvians in the conservation of their biodiversity, the malnutrition problems the world faces and the establishment of an eating style based on Peruvian products.

Like Mistura 2013 the Grand Market will remain as the heart of the fair of this year. Restaurants, ‘huariques’ and trucks will be grouped by Worlds as in other editions, but with novelties that will make this encounter more attractive and accessible to the public. After a successful first edition, Mistura 2014 will host the II International Gastronomic Meeting, from 5 to 7 September, with the participation of some of the world’s most renowned chefs.

The Peruvian Society of Gastronomy (Apega in Spanish) is preparing a tasty feast full of novelties to surprise again thousands of national and foreign visitors. In the next weeks Apega will unveil more details about Mistura 2014 such as: participants, exhibitions, forums, international guests, competitions and information about ticket sales.
